Presentation Guidelines

Instruction for poster presentation

The poster size should not exceed A0 size (84.1 cm width x 118.9cm height) displayed vertically (portrait layout).

Poster board/double-sided tape will be provided in the poster presentation session area.

Place your Title and Authors’ names prominently at the top of the poster to allow viewers to identify your paper easily. The corresponding author name and e‐mail address information should be highlighted (or in bold) in case the viewer is interested in contacting you for more information. 

Poster presenters are required to be at their posters during the poster session

Instruction for oral presentation

You are requested to upload your presentation file in your presenting room at least 3 hours before your presentation time. Your files will be completely removed after finishing the session. 

 

Audio-Visual Equipment

Each meeting room comes equipped with a computer, LCD projector, screen, and laser pointer. The computers will be configured with Windows10 Operating System as well as with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Reader. Please bring your presentation files in thumb drives / flash drives only. 

 

Length of Presentation: 

Total presentation duration including Q&A is 15 minutes for each contributed talk, 30 minutes for invited talk and  keynote talk. You are requested to be at the presentation room at least 15 minutes before the session starts.

Instruction for virtual presentation 

Instructions for Oral Presentation (Virtual)

Only foreign participants with travel difficulties due to COVID-19 will be fully on-line via Zoom Meeting Application. Please be sure that you have this application installed in your notebook/desktop computers. These devices are preferred although tablets/notepad/mobile phones may also be used. Please also check that you have a good internet connection so that you can participate in the conference’s events without interruption. ICAPMA-JMAG organizers will provide help in assisting the preparation and presentation of each presenter before and during the presentation. The Zoom Meeting ID# and Password will be given before the conference date.

Please stand by (log in Zoom account) at your presentation room at least 15 minutes before the session starts.

Total presentation time including Q&A is the followings:

    - Plenary talk: 45 minutes (about 40 min talk + 5 min Q&A)

    - Keynote talk: 30 minutes (about 25 min talk + 5 min Q&A)

    - Invited talk: 30 minutes (about 25 min talk + 5 min Q&A)

    - Regular contributed talk: 15 minutes (about 12 min talk + 3 min Q&A)

 

We request that all presenters prepare a presentation and make an on-line presentation (LIVE) at the scheduled time/date (via Zoom Meeting Application). However, pre-recorded video is also essentially recommended for plan B. (it is also fine to not live streaming if you are not convenient)

The pre-recorded video file (for example, MS-Power Point with sound embedded file or MP4 video file) must be sent to e-mail: matscitech.thailand@gmail.com by Nov 28, 2021.

Please kindly prepare a pair of personal earphones to be used during the conference participation for the best sound quality, especially if you are joining the conference in the same room with several others as the sound from speakers and microphones from each device will interfere with each other. It is recommended that you join the conference from very quiet place and please mute your microphone at all times when joining.

To stimulate the exchange of ideas (as the main purpose of the conference), the presenter is encouraged to make yourself available during and after your presentation schedule to answer/address possible questions from conference participants. Questions and comments can be addressed via zoom meeting chat box.

Please consider using the conference’s Virtual Background for Zoom. This Virtual Background will help publicize our important co-organizers, sponsors, and the ICAPMA-JMAG events.

 

Instructions for Poster Presentation (Virtual)

The poster Presentation must be made in the form of PowerPoint slides and presented as an oral presentation for 10 minutes including Q&A.

The poster presentation will be fully on-line via Zoom Meeting Application. Please be sure that you have this application installed in your notebook/desktop computers. The Zoom Meeting ID# and Password will be given before the conference date.

Please stand by (log in Zoom account) at your presentation room at least 15 minutes before the session starts.

We request that all presenters prepare a presentation and make an on-line presentation (LIVE) at the scheduled time/date (via Zoom Meeting Application). The presenter may prepare a pre-recorded video/presentation (**only if the presenter cannot present at the specified time/date due to EMERGENCY reason) and send to the organizer. Please contact matscitech.thailand@gmail.com  for more specific detail.
